چکیده
Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) are life-long neurodevelopmental disorders characterized by impairment in reciprocal social interactions, verbal and non-verbal communication skills, restricted repetitive stereotyped patterns of behaviour, interests activities. Children with ASD normally shows the sensory struggles to process data. Short Sensory Profile (SSP) is an assessment tool which widely used identify whether autism children have exhibited disorder. There seven parts questionnaire tactile sensitivity, taste/ smell movement under responsive/ seeks sensation, auditory filtering, low energy/ weak visual sensitivity. The problem current system that being done manually whereby it requires therapist spend more time effort get results. Therefore, providing a web-based SSP system, will ease automate manual receive output easily. In addition, profile patient can be stored digitally referred for future reference developing revisit therapy plan.

Sensory processing in children with and without autism: a comparative study using the short sensory profile.
OBJECTIVE The purpose of this study is to investigate differences in sensory processing among age-matched children between ages 3 and 6 years with autism spectrum disorders (ASD) and those who are typically developing. METHOD Reported sensory processing abilities of 281 children with ASD were compared to age-matched peers who were typically developing, using the Short Sensory Profile (SSP). ...

OBJECTIVE The purpose of this study was to determine whether the Sensory Profile discriminates between children with and without autism and which items on the profile best discriminate between these groups. METHOD Parents of 32 children with autism aged 3 to 13 years and of 64 children without autism aged 3 to 10 years completed the Sensory Profile. A descriptive analysis of the data set of c...
متن کاملEfficacy of sensory and motor interventions for children with autism.
Idiosyncratic responses to sensory stimuli and unusual motor patterns have been reported clinically in young children with autism. The etiology of these behavioral features is the subject of much speculation. Myriad sensory- and motor-based interventions have evolved for use with children with autism to address such issues; however, much controversy exists about the efficacy of such therapies. ...

متن کاملCaregivers’ Perspective About the Levels of Sensory Processing Problems in Children With Autism
Background: Children with autism should interact and get along with their surrounding environment. Therefore, the researchers must try to explain the reasons of challenges in their adaptive behaviors. This study aimed to evaluate levels of challenges in sensory processing and the motor domain of adaptive behavior among children with autism in Egypt, and to explore the effect of sensory processi...
